If the Drawing Tool repeatedly prompts you to “zoom out and continue drawing,” it’s typically due to your browser zoom not being set to 100%.
The Drawing Tool requires a 100% zoom level to function correctly. If your browser is zoomed in or out, even slightly, you may see this message every time you open or edit a drawing.
Why does this keep happening?
Most browsers save zoom settings in one of two ways:
- Default zoom level for all websites
- Site-specific zoom for individual websites
If either of these is not set to 100%, the message will continue to appear each time you load the Drawing Tool.
How to fix it permanently
To prevent this from happening every time, you’ll need to reset both your default and site-specific zoom settings.
1. Reset your browser’s default zoom
Open your browser settings (not the website itself) and look for:
- Zoom
- Page Zoom
- Default Zoom
Set this to 100%.
2. Reset zoom for the Drawing Tool page
While on the Drawing Tool page:
- Open your browser menu (this may be three dots, three lines, or an “aA” icon)
- Look for Page Zoom, Website Settings, or similar
- Set the zoom to 100%
3. Refresh and test
- Reload the page
- Open or create a drawing again
Still having trouble?
If the issue continues, your browser may be overriding the zoom setting. Try:
- Fully closing and reopening your browser
- Switching to a different browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.)
If you’re not sure which browser you’re using or need help finding the setting, contact support, and we’ll walk you through it.
