If you're noticing that appointments deleted in Google Calendar are still showing in Contractor Accelerator, or vice versa, here’s what’s happening and how to fix it.
Why didn’t my appointment get removed from Contractor Accelerator when I deleted it in Google?
In most cases, events should sync both ways between Contractor Accelerator and Google Calendar. However, there are a few situations where this won’t happen:
1. The calendar connection was lost
If your Google Calendar connection was disconnected, expired, or your credentials changed, Contractor Accelerator can no longer communicate with Google.
- This means we cannot remove or update events in Google or Contractor Accelerator after the connection is lost.
- Any events that were previously synced will remain as-is.
2. The event was not originally created by your connected calendar
Only events that are created and owned by your connected Google Calendar will sync properly.
- If an event was shared with you or created by another user, deleting it in Google may not remove it from Contractor Accelerator.
- The system checks ownership before syncing changes.
What happens if I disconnect Google Calendar correctly?
If you disconnect your Google Calendar through Contractor Accelerator settings, we handle cleanup for you.
- All synced events will be removed from Google before the connection is fully disconnected.
- This ensures you don’t have leftover or duplicate appointments.
What should I do if my calendars are out of sync?
If you’re seeing mismatched or lingering appointments:
- Reconnect your Google Calendar in Contractor Accelerator.
- Check if the event was originally created by your calendar.
- Manually remove any remaining events if the connection was previously broken.
How can I prevent this issue in the future?
- Always disconnect your Google Calendar through Contractor Accelerator, not directly through Google.
- Avoid changing Google account credentials without reconnecting your calendar in Contractor Accelerator.
- Be mindful of shared calendars, since not all events will sync both ways.
