Growth comes in many forms—whether you're opening a second office, launching a new service, covering a new territory, or even starting a brand-new business. Contractor Accelerator is flexible enough to support your expansion, but it's important to pick the right setup for your needs.
You have two main options:
-
Add your new service, territory, or team to your existing account
-
Start a second account for your new business entity
Here’s what to consider.
✅ Option 1: Use a Single Account (Recommended for Same Brand & Structure)
If your expansion shares the same branding, location, contact info, and general business structure, keeping everything in one system is the most efficient path.
Ideal If:
-
You’re offering a new service under the same company name.
-
You’re expanding to a new territory, but still operating under the same brand.
-
Your company’s logo, address, website, and phone number are consistent across all services or locations.
Benefits:
-
Centralized management: All leads, jobs, and reporting in one place.
-
No need to log in and out for users working across services or teams.
-
Custom forms and templates: You can add new product groups, forms, and Terms and Conditions to support different service lines.
Things to Keep in Mind:
-
Additional Users: You may need to upgrade your account to add more users. Sometimes this ends up costing the same amount as having 2 accounts with fewer users. Here is a link to our article that explains how to check your subscription options.
-
Combined reporting: All data is merged. Custom reporting to split metrics by service or team is possible, but may require 1 one-time fee to set up.
-
Product & pricing variation: We see this with geographic expansion, where pricing for the same services may be different in the two locations. If pricing varies by region for the same product or service, we can create secondary products and forms with different pricing.
-
Terms & Conditions: You can add service-specific terms that appear on every bid or are manually added during bid creation.
-
Cover pages & automations: If you're using one logo and address, no issues. If these vary by service or region, consider Option 2.
✅ Option 2: Open a Second Contractor Accelerator Account (Recommended for Separate Entities or Branding)
If you're launching something that operates more independently—like a different business name, brand, address, or website—a separate account gives you more control and clarity.
Ideal If:
-
You’re opening a second business or brand with different contact info.
-
You’re expanding into a new market that uses a different pricing model.
-
You want completely separate automations, branding, and reports.
Benefits:
-
Clean separation of jobs, users, and data between companies or brands.
-
Tailored automations: Use separate logos, websites, emails, and Terms & Conditions.
-
Independent reporting: No overlap or confusion when analyzing performance.
Getting Started:
-
Use a different email than your current one to create the new account. All users will need an email that is not already being used in your current Contractor Accelerator account.
