This short video highlights exactly what's changed, where to find it, and anything you need to do after the update.
π§ New Left-Side Navigation
The June update introduces a refreshed navigation experience designed to make Contractor Accelerator easier to use today while creating room for future enhancements.
Although the navigation looks different, your day-to-day workflow remains largely the same. Most of the tools you use every day are still only one click away, just in a cleaner, more organized layout.
β¨ What's New
- Navigation has moved from the top of the screen to the left side.
- Expand or collapse the menu to fit your preference.
- View icons only or icons with labels.
- CRM pages are now individual menu items instead of nested under CRM.
- Project pages have a refreshed navigation style.
- New breadcrumb navigation makes it easier to move between Customer, Property, and Project records.
- The Drawing Tool toolbar has moved to the right side of the screen.
π‘ Why We Made This Change
As Contractor Accelerator continues to grow, we needed more room to add new features without making the software feel crowded.
Moving the navigation to the left gives you more workspace, reduces unnecessary clicks, and provides a better experience across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. It also lays the foundation for upcoming updates like the new Dashboard and Pipeline.
π Important Things to Know
- The Customer tab is no longer located inside the Project menu. You can now access the Customer record using the breadcrumb navigation at the top of the page.
- The Drawing Tool has moved, but nothing about how it works has changed.
- The order and functionality of the software remain familiar. This update is primarily a visual refresh with usability improvements.
β Action Required
None.
These updates are applied automatically. Simply continue working as normal and take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the new layout.
π Customer Portal Bid Acceptance Experience
We've redesigned the Customer Portal bid acceptance process to create a smoother experience for your customers from proposal review through payment.
Instead of jumping between multiple screens, customers are now guided through the entire process in one simple workflow.
β¨ What's New
Customers can now:
- Review the proposal or estimate.
- View the cost breakdown (if enabled).
- Complete acknowledgements.
- Electronically sign the proposal.
- Review invoices (if enabled).
- Pay online through CA Payments or apply for Wisetack financing (if enabled).
Customers who access their proposal from an email will automatically be directed into the Customer Portal for the same guided experience.
π‘ Why We Made This Change
Accepting a proposal should be simple.
Previously, customers often moved between multiple screens to review a proposal, sign documents, and locate invoices for payment. The new experience keeps everything together in one place, creating a more professional process while helping customers move from acceptance to payment more efficiently.
π New Features
- Guided proposal acceptance workflow
- Custom terminology for "Bid" (Proposal, Quote, Estimate, etc.)
- Customer decline reasons with optional comments
- Visibility based on your Customer Portal settings
- Integrated CA Payments support
- Integrated Wisetack financing support
βοΈ Important Things to Know
The Customer Portal automatically respects your existing settings.
If you've chosen to hide pricing, invoices, acknowledgements, financing, or payment options, those preferences will continue to work exactly as before. The new workflow simply presents them in a cleaner, guided experience.
β Action Required
If you're already using the Customer Portal, no setup is required.
You may want to review the following optional settings:
- Customize the customer-facing term used instead of "Bid" (Proposal, Quote, Estimate, etc.).
- Review your Customer Portal visibility settings.
- If you're not using CA Payments, customize the message customers see after accepting a proposal.

π§ Additional Improvements
Shortly after this release, we made a few additional improvements based directly on customer feedback.
Customer Name in Breadcrumbs
The Customer Name is now displayed more prominently in the breadcrumb navigation, making it easier to identify the customer, navigate back to the Customer record, and work from smaller devices.
Custom Message for Non-CA Payments Users
Companies not using CA Payments can now customize the message customers see after accepting a proposal in the Customer Portal.
To update this message, navigate to:
