Launching Monday Night
Navigation Refresh
Navigation has moved from the top of the screen to the left side of the application.
This update gives users more room to work while making key areas of the system easier to access.
What's New
- Navigation is now located on the left side of the screen
- Sub-navigation menus have been removed
- Areas previously grouped under sections like CRM are now directly accessible
- New breadcrumbs have been added throughout the system
- Project Details pages have received a refreshed appearance
What Hasn't Changed
The names, order, and functionality of the system remain the same.
This update is primarily a visual and usability improvement designed to:
- Increase available workspace
- Reduce clicks needed to access common areas
- Improve usability on tablets and mobile devices
- Create a foundation for future navigation improvements
New Breadcrumb Navigation
Breadcrumbs now appear throughout the system to help users quickly navigate between related records.
For example:
Customer > Property > Project
These links make it easier to move between records without needing to search or return to previous screens.
Guided Bid Acceptance for Customer Portal
Customers using Customer Portal will now experience a streamlined bid acceptance process.
Previously, customers often needed to:
- Open a bid from an email
- Download the bid document
- Review the bid in a separate tab
- Return to the original screen
- Accept and sign the bid
The updated process guides customers through each step in a single workflow.
New Customer Experience
Customers can now:
- Review the bid
- Complete acknowledgements (if applicable)
- Sign the agreement
- View the first invoice
- Pay with CA Payments or apply for financing (if enabled)
This creates a smoother experience with fewer clicks and less switching between screens.
Important Notes
- This update applies only to bids accepted through Customer Portal.
- The existing bid acceptance process from customer emails remains unchanged.
- The Accept Bid button on the Bid page also remains unchanged at this time.
- Customers will continue to receive their confirmation email and first invoice after acceptance.
Customer Portal Settings
Customer Portal remains fully controlled by your existing settings.
If you do not want customers to view invoices in the portal, invoice visibility can be disabled by navigating to:
Company Profile > Config & Tools > Customer Portal
No additional customer-facing information is being shared beyond what your settings already allow.
New Bid Rejection Feedback
Customers who reject a bid through Customer Portal can now provide feedback about their decision.
What's New
When rejecting a bid, customers can:
- Select a rejection reason
- Provide optional comments
Benefits
This feedback can help your team:
- Understand why jobs are being lost
- Improve sales conversations
- Identify common objections
- Find opportunities to improve close rates
Customer feedback is stored with the bid record, giving your team additional insight into lost opportunities.
Watch the recorded walkthrough video from June 9th for a complete demonstration of these updates and how they work throughout the system.
