Keeping track of everything happening in your business—especially when your team is assigning you work—can get overwhelming. That’s why Contractor Accelerator offers both in-app and email notifications to help you stay on top of important updates.
You’ll be notified when:

A new task, lead, project, or appointment is assigned to you by another user.

A bid is viewed, accepted, or rejected by a customer on a project you where you are assigned.
These notifications are sent only to the person assigned to the item. You will not receive a notification for items you assign to yourself or that are assigned to someone else.

🔔 Notification Types
There are two ways you’ll be notified in Contractor Accelerator:

In-app notifications – The notifications center is found within the Bell icon in the upper right corner of the software. When clicked, will take you to the project, appointment or details help you quickly access important items.

Email notifications – Sent to your inbox and include a button to view the project, appointment, or details within the software.
When someone assigns another user to something, the user will be notified.
- Task Assigned - This notification is triggered when a user assigns a task to a different user. The notification will be sent to the person assigned to the Task.
- Lead Assigned - This notification is triggered when a user assigns a Lead to a different user. The notification will be sent to the person assigned to the Lead.
- Project Assigned - This notification is triggered when a user assigns a project to a different user. The notification will be sent to the person assigned to the Project.
When a customer engages with a bid, the salesperson tied to the bid will be notified of the action.
- Bid Viewed - This notification is triggered when a customer clicks the Download Bid button from the Customer Bid email. The notification will be sent to the associated salesperson's email.
- Bid Accepted - This notification is triggered when a customer clicks the submit button after signing a bid contract from the Customer Bid email. The notification will be sent to the associated salesperson's email.
- Bid Rejected - This notification is triggered when a customer clicks the reject bid button from the Customer Bid email. The notification will be sent to the associated salesperson's email.
You can choose to receive email, in-app, both, or neither by updating your preferences in your User Settings. Primary Users can manage user settings such as name, email, phone numbers, bio, photos, email notifications, and permission settings for their team in the User section of Company Profile. Each user also has access to manage their own personal information (sans permissions) in their User Profile. Please visit the linked articles to learn more about these settings.
🔄 System Announcements from Contractor Accelerator
In addition to user-triggered alerts, you may also receive notifications from the Contractor Accelerator team about system updates, reminders and new feature releases. These messages will appear in your in-app notification center and are accompanied by an email—giving you multiple ways to stay in the loop.
✅ How to Use In-App Notifications
When you receive an in-app notification, you can:

Click into it to be taken directly to the related task, project, appointment, or details. Clicking into the notification will automatically archive it.

Check the circle next to a notification to archive it.
To view archived notifications:

Click the three dots in the upper-right corner of the notifications window.

Select “View Archived” to see your past notifications.

You can click into the three-dot menu to the right of any row to mark any archived item as unread to push it back into your active notifications list.
✉️ Additional Email Recipients
Currently, only the assigned user will receive in-app notifications for tasks, appointments, leads, and projects.
However, some email notifications can be shared with other email recipients. This is managed in the Company Settings under your business’s notification preferences. These extra recipients will receive emails (but not in-app alerts).
NOTE: Any designated additional email recipients from your company will be CC'ed on Bid Viewed, Accepted, or Rejected notifications. The salesperson's notification settings will determine what emails the additional email recipient will receive. The additional email recipients' personal settings will not affect the CC'ed emails. Please see the Company Settings to update the additional recipient information.
