How to import your previous data:
What is a Data Import?
If you're coming from another software or have previous lead or customer information, such as contact details, appointments, and notes stored electronically, we can push that data into Contractor Accelerator for you.
Simply request an export from your current provider and send it to us. That's it! We do all the configuration to ensure the information ends up in the right place within the Contractor Accelerator.
Full Data Import
- Sample Data: Download your full data export from your previous system. The files will typically be .csv or .xslx files. Send them to support@contractoraccelerator.com at least two weeks before your anticipated import date to allow our team time to review the data with you and configure and test the import.
- Scope Review & Quote: We will review the files, set a time to discuss which data can be imported and where it will be located, and provide a price quote.
-
Payment: If approved, a user with Primary permissions will need to pay the invoice before work begins.
- Click the User Icon in the upper right corner
- Click Subscriptions and Billing
- Find the Invoice in the Table
- Click the action menu (3 dots) on the right of the table
- Click Pay Invoice
- Preparation & Final Files: Once the setup is ready, we’ll confirm a date to complete the data import. You will pull your previous data again to provide a final list, ensuring all records are included.
- Import: We will import over an evening or weekend to ensure no interruption or lag time as we load the data.
Free Customer-Only Import
If you currently have your data stored in personal Word or Excel files instead of a CRM, you can use our import template documents to format your data for import. These templates are designed for users who have not been using another CRM and are transitioning from manually maintained files.

What is a Data Export?
We want you to feel confident that the information you put into Contractor Accelerator always belongs to you, and you can pull it out if you ever decide to stop using the software.
Simply request an export from our team via the support@contractoraccelerator.com email. From there, our team will assess the scope of the export and provide instructions.
How Does It Work?
1. Typed Data: You can export tables within the system for your customers, projects, and properties by clicking the export button in the upper right corner of the table view. Our team can also export a combined document that contains other data points, such as appointments and notes. The export will be .csv and can be sent via email.
2. Files: We will review the number of files, such as photos and PDFs, to provide more information based on the scope of the export project. Fees may apply.*
3. Preparation & Final Files: Once the export is done, we’ll send you a link to download your files from Google Drive.
*Payment: If a project is larger in nature or your team requires specifics that are not standard practice, a fee may be assessed. Any fees will be discussed prior to the beginning of the work. If approved, a user with Primary permissions will need to pay the invoice before work begins.
