A: Security is at the forefront of everything they do at Propelr. Cardholder information (including card numbers and PII data) is protected via a powerful combination of tokenization and PCI-certified point-to-point encryption (P2PE).
- Tokenization is the process of replacing sensitive information with irreversible tokens that are useless to hackers, should a network experience a breach. We store our tokens in a secure, off-site vault, ensuring vulnerable data remains off a business’ system. This protects data in transit and at rest.
- P2PE secures every transaction by encrypting credit card data at the point of sale, through its full life cycle.
